Randomly named after a beautiful bird that died, after flying way off-course, crudely yet elegantly hanging on a beam as an ornament became the Mendez’ name for the coffee farm we now know as El Pelicano.
In hindsight,
it probably is a good thing that it wasn’t a stray giraffe.
We think 2018 has been the best year ever for El Pelicano. Not only have the family bought the neighbouring plot, increasing their size but they have also produced a bigger and better crop than we have seen from them before. This is no less than a true win, win.
