La Marzocco’s reputation was built on the workhorse, also known as the Linea Classic. After 30 years of gradually improving and upgrading the Classic, the Classic S was born. With all of the hardworking ethos of the original, yet with more refinement as standard, such as (what we used to call chronos) timers and PID as standard. Little things like rotating steam wands make a big difference. You either love and accept those sharp corners or you don’t. In the last few years, it looked like the PB was going to eclipse or supersede the Classic, however, like the Landrover Series I for some, things didn’t need to change.
If you bought one of these 10 years ago and looked after it, like a Rolex (or a Landrover Series 1- Defender) you would most likely get all of your money back. Due to market conditions and the volumes of machines out there, I can’t promise this would happen again.
Carefully designed to blend into any setting, the Linea Classic – with its dual boiler system, saturated groups, and PID controller is a work of art that is linear in design and dressed in polished stainless steel, and includes stainless steel portafilters and advanced precision baskets. The clean lines of the Linea Classic S are timeless and simple, adding charm and furnishing the many cafés, roasters, and chains whose names have defined the specialty coffee industry and have buoyed the development of the specialty coffee industry since the early 1990s.
With an app that can be used to change your steam boiler temperature as well as brews, there are many things that you can do to subtly change the machine to work for you. If you don’t want to go all in with the app, there is another way that you can access lots of micro-settings too, or we can help navigate you.

We offer this machine in 2, 3 and occasionally 4 groups. Custom paint jobs can be arranged and extra wood (side panels and portafilters) if you have the budget.
