La Marzocco KB 90

I am lucky enough to (currently have) a Linea Classic S, a PB, a Linea Mini and a collectable KB90. When I start brewing on the KB, it feels like someone has given me a present! The steam is easy, the set up and predicatbility of the shots is so nice, with the “ABR” (Auto-Brew-Ratio). They come in standard Ferrari Red, made some 8 miles away from the Ferrari factory too.

There are lots of great features, such as individual group head brew temperatures. Lift to insert your portafilter, no wrist twisting. Cool touch steamwands. The list goes on and if I had to make a lot of espresso based coffees every day, it would be a toss up between this and the PB.

The downside. This machine is a technical wonder! Owning one requires regular maintainence, I don’t mean the seals and showers once a year before Christmas, I mean 3 or 4 times a year to keep everything in tip-top condition.
